To recover libraries (which have become damaged or corrupted):

1. From the File menu, select Library > Recover Library.
2. Click OK.
3. Select the library (.enl file) you wish to recover.
4. Click Open > Save.
5. EndNote will display a dialogue box stating the number of records saved. Click OK.
6. From the File menu, select Open Library.
7. Be sure to use the copied library (with "saved" appended to the library file name) in place of the original damaged library..
8. Click Open - your recovered library should now be ready to use.
