Find Duplicates

To find duplicates:

  1. From the File menu, select Library Find Duplicates.
  2. Each pair of duplicates will be scanned and presented, side-by-side.
  3. Compare the fields of bibliographic data in each set of duplicates.
  4. Click Keep this Record on the record you wish to keep (the other record will be automatically moved to the Trash).
  5. If you wish to retain a set of duplicates, click Skip.
  6. If you wish to exit the duplicate-finding process, click Cancel (any remaining duplicates will remain in your library).

Tip: Duplicates are common, particularly if you are importing record from a diverse array of digital resources, and checking for them should be factored in as part of your EndNote "digital hygiene".
