
Wiley Read & Publish Agreement for Open Access Publishing
Within the scope of the read and publish agreement signed with Wiley Publishing Koç University members will have the right to publish articles open-access (including "Research Articles," "Review Article," "Data Article" and "Rapid Publication") without paying an APC (Article Processing Charge)
Who Can Benefit?
Authors affiliated with Koç University during the agreement period (January 1, 2023, and runs through December 31, 2025)
What is included?
- Authors affiliated with Koc university are able to publish “Research Article,” “Review Article,” “Data Article,” and “Rapid Publication” open-access without paying an APC in Wiley’s Hybrid Journals and Gold Open Access Journals (exclude Hindawi)
- Only Wiley Hibrit and Gold Journals in Q1 and Q2 journal quartiles of Web of Science (WoS) will be covered as part of Wiley's Read & Publish agreement.
Important Details:
- Your manuscript must have been accepted for publication in a Wiley hybrid journal on or after 1 January 2023, or submitted to a Wiley fully open-access journal on or after 1 January 2023.
- KU author must be identified as the Corresponding Responsible Author to benefit from the agreement.
- There is a “national annual OA article publishing quota” within the scope of the agreement. The APC will be offered for the articles on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The universities will share the national annual OA article publishing quota. In 2023, the upper limit is 1500 articles for Wiley Journals.
- If the “national annual OA article publication quota” expires, the author of the relevant publication or the funding agency must pay the APC fee.
- For hybrid journals, you must order hybrid open access by using the order workflow on Wiley Author Services.
- For fully open-access journals, please refer to and follow the steps laid out in this guide, or declare your Koc University affiliation when requested during the submission process.
Included titles.
- This agreement allows authors from Koc University to publish open access in 763 Wiley Journals with no transactional APCs.
