Read and Publish Agreements for Open Access Publishing

Koç University is participating in the read and publish agreement between Wiley and TÜBİTAK. 

Within the scope of the agreement, Koç University members will have the right to publish articles

open-access (including "Research Articles," "Review Articles," "Data-Articles" and "Rapid Publication") without paying an APC (Article Processing Charge)

• Your manuscript must have been accepted for publication in a Wiley hybrid journal on or after 1 January 2024, or submitted to a Wiley fully open-access journal on or after 1 January 2024.
• KU author must be identified as the Corresponding Responsible Author to benefit from the agreement.
• There is a “national annual OA article publishing quota” within the scope of the agreement. The APC will be offered for the articles on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The universities will share the national annual OA article publishing quota. In 2024, the upper limit is 1.500 articles for Wiley Journals.
• If the “national annual OA article publication quota” expires, the author of the relevant publication or the funding agency must pay the APC fee.

• For hybrid journals, you must order hybrid open access by using the order workflow on Wiley Author Services.
• For fully open-access journals, please refer to and follow the steps laid out in this guide, or declare your Koc University affiliation when requested during the submission process.
