Read and Publish Agreements for Open Access Publishing

The Library has a number of “Read and Publish” deals that allow Koc University corresponding authors to publish open access in selected journals without payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC).

Agreement What you need to know

Within the scope of the Read Agreement signed with SAGE Publishing as of 2023, 

Koç University authors are entitled to get a highly discounted APC (Article Processing Charge) of £200 to publish in SAGE Choice journals in the SAGE Premier package. 

The standard APC is £2,400

Important Details:

  • The corresponding author should be a Koç University author.
  • Institutional affiliation and e-mail address (@ku.edu.tr) should be used.
  • Be accepted for publication in a SAGE journal covered by the agreement.
  • Articles must have an acceptance date that falls within the current agreement period. (01.01.2023 - 31.12.2024)
Eligible Titles: SAGE Choice Journals covered by the agreement. This includes most (but not all) journals in SAGE Premier.
Eligible article types: All fully peer-reviewed research articles were newly published in SAGE Choice Hybrid Journals.
Licenses options:  Available Creative Commons license on SAGE Publication Agreement Ends: December 31st, 2024
