Ankara'nın Harita Rehberi

This guide is  prepared in order to facilitate the use of maps and plans prepared in different historical periods of Ankara as sources for urban history researches. In the chapter on History of Ankara, the historical development of Ankara from the early ages until today is included.  In the chapter titled as Ankara in Maps and Plans, information about the history of the cartography of the city is given. In Planning the City chapter , the urban development plans and studies applied in terms of urban development were included. In the Resources and Collections chapter, there are collections, books, articles, and web pages that can be sourced by the researcher. In the Cartographic Terms chapter, explanations about the terms in the basic literature of cartography can be found. In the Practices chapter, information has been given about the applications that have been made and are under way. In the Projects chapter, the projects made in terms of cartography and urban planning are mentioned. Lastly, the chapter named as Relevant Institutions and Organisations, refers to the institutions that have carried out studies within the scope of urban history, cartography, and planning issues and the ones that contributed to the development of these areas.
