Goal 3 - Good Health and Well-Being
Goal 3 aims to provide equal opportunities for medical assistance, health, and well-being for all. This goal addresses all key health priorities, including reproductive, maternal, and child health; communicable, non-communicable, and environmental diseases; universal health insurance; and access to safe, effective, quality, and affordable medicines and vaccines. Especially in low- and middle-income countries where health systems used insufficient resources before the pandemic, a difficult process has started with tuberculosis and malaria diseases experienced after 2022. The pandemic and other ongoing crises hinder progress in achieving this goal, exacerbating existing health inequalities and threatening progress toward universal health coverage.
