Mythology usually refers to the collected myths of a group of people, but may also mean the study of such myths (Kirk, p. 8; "myth", Encyclopedia Britannica). Greek mythology describes the body of myths retold on the culture and has been a significant aspect of it, particularly popular among children.
A whole generation of Gods and Goddesses, mythical creatures both of human and divine nature, rivals, romance and hatred, power competitions and revengeful acts, all comprise the mysterious, complex and so appealing scenery of the mythical world.
