- PQDT OPENLaunched in 2007, this site contains ProQuest's open access ETDs.
- Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD)Started by Virginia Tech University, this is a global database of over 750,000 ETDs (electronic theses and dissertations).
- Open Access Theses and Dissertations (OATD)Includes almost 2 million open access dissertations from over 800 colleges, universities and research institutions.
- DART-Europe E-theses PortalOver 130,000 full-text ETD's are available from 230 participating universities from 17 European countries.
- Registry of Open Access Repositories (ROAR)A listing of open access repositories for e-theses and dissertations. May be further limited by country and software type.
Off-Campus Proquest Dissertations and Theses Global
KU faculty, students, and staff with a Novell ID and password may search this index off-campus.
ProQuest Dissertations and Theses offers an index to search for over 1.4 million doctoral dissertations and master theses (1861- current) from other universities across the globe. Search by keyword, subject, title, or author. Full text is available for most titles from 1997-present.

- American Doctoral Dissertations, 1933 - 1955Provides free, full text access to American dissertations accepted between 1933 and 1955. Previously available in print as Doctoral Dissertations Accepted by American Universities
- Australian Digital Theses projectProvides access to theses from Australian and New Zealand institutions. Up to 5,000 available for free download.
- British Library ETHOSIndividuals may login and search this database of over 250,000 British theses and dissertations, without a fee. Some theses may be available on an open access basis. For others, individuals may need to request the item through ILLiad or wait for digitization.
- OhioLINK Electronic Theses and Dissertations CenterBrowse ETD's from over 30 participating colleges and universities in the state of Ohio.
