Document Supply Services

If a user can’t find an item – print or electronic – in the collections of the Koç University library system, we may be able to retrieve it via Document Delivery Services (DDS). Through DDS, the library can take loan items from the collections of other university libraries which are located domestic and foreign. All DDS requests involve the Library being charged a fee, however, so please be sure to check the KU collections for needed items before making a request. Note that these fees are not passed on to the user — requests are free of charge to our patrons.

  The purpose of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service is to provide research materials that are not available at the Library, by requesting them from other libraries, whether from abroad or locally. Items available through ILL include books, articles, conference proceedings, and if available, reports, theses, and dissertations.

• Library users with valid Koç University ID cards may benefit from this service. However, undergraduate students are not eligible for book request.
• This service is NOT AVAILABLE to special borrowers such as external users.
• Requests will not be processed for users with a library probation status with the Library.

• Faculty, administrative staff, graduate assistants, and graduate / postdoctoral students are limited to 5 active ILL books on their account.  Active requests include loans requested or received but not yet returned items. 

•   Faculty and administrative staff are limited to 10; graduate assistants, graduate / postdoctoral and undergraduate students are limited to 5 active article requests at one time. Active article requests include in progress or pending requests.
